Background

Advancing in the perspective of Interprofessional Education (IPE) is not a simple task, given the tradition of uniprofessional training. Valuation policies for IPE, which are inserted in the macro dimension of reality, curricular designs that incorporate the principles of IPE, adoption of methodologies that facilitate the development of collaborative skills, institutional support to advance these changes - all inserted in the meso dimension of reality - they may not be successful if there is no process of valuing and developing the faculty involved with these challenges.

Faculty development is an aspect that must be strongly valued in the processes of changing the logic of health education. Health professionals are inserted in teaching without, most of the time, going through a qualification process to make them teachers, reverberating in the reproduction of traditional models, with limited capacity to understand and be involved in change processes.

The webinar is an invitation to discuss how to invest in faculty development processes for IPE, in addition to presenting strategies for applying IPE in educational initiatives.
