The webinar "Faculty development: one of the keys to the success of Interprofessional Education" is part of the series of webinars on the theme "Interprofessional Education (IPE) to achieve the universal health", which is being developed by PAHO in conjunction with the Regional Network of Interprofessional Education of the Americas (REIP).

Academic Director of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences and Health of the European University of Madrid - Spain. With extensive experience in university management and team management, she led several educational innovation projects. Actually, she leads the project of interprofessional education in simulation environments, among others.

Objectives of the webinar:

1. Presentation of the central role of the faculty development in the changes in the education of health professionals.

2. Discussion on the importance of the faculty development for interprofessional education, with an approach to answer the following questions:

How does the development of the faculty help to promote interprofessional teaching and learning?

How will faculty development strategies help strengthen interprofessional education to achieve the universal health?

3. Presentation and discussion of a proposed of the faculty development plan for the IPE.
