One of the major events on Interprofessional Health Education in the Region of the Americas begins today
The city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 6 and 7 December 2018, will host the Third Technical Meeting on Interprofessional Professional Education (IPE): Improve the capacity of human resources to achieve universal health.
The event, organized by the Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO / WHO) with the collaboration of the Ministry of Health of the Argentinian Republic, through its National Human Capital Directorate, support of the Regional Network for Interprofessional Education in the Americas (REIP) that was established in the year of 2017.
The objectives of the meeting are to evaluate the development of country activities for IPE plans (2018-2019) and to explore the influence of IPE to achieve universal health in the following areas: IPE as a strategy to improve collaborative practices in health; IPE in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in health; initiatives for the development of educators for IPE.
Several countries in the Region of the Americas participate in the meeting, which is based on the strategic lines established in the Strategy on Human Resources for Universal Access to Health and Universal Health Coverage of PAHO / WHO.
