The Virtual Campus for Public Health (VCPH) invites to the conference Interprofessional education and the commitment to (re)placing the user at the center of training and practice in health, which will be presented by Dr. Fernando Menezes, chief of the Human Resources for Health unit, of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and Dr. Andreas Xyrichis, Editor-in-chief, Journal of Interprofessional Care, Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing Midwifery & Palliative Carel, King’s College London within the framework of the opening session of the I Week of Education and Interprofessional Work in Health of the Pernambucana Faculty of Health (FPS, for its acronym in English), of Brazil.

Objectives

The objectives of the I Week of Education and Interprofessional Work in Health of the FPS are:

  • Stimulate the production of knowledge and discussions on strategies to strengthen interprofessional education in the reorientation of training and work in health.
  • Socialize and share scientific evidence on IPE in Brazil and around the world, and the valorization of a collaborative network on interprofessionality.
  • Discuss the contributions of interprofessional education and practice in health for the strengthening and consolidation of the Unified Health System.
